Interpreting Component LED Indications
Repeater Adapter LEDs
The following table summarizes the meaning of typical LED indications on the Repeater
Adapter. The left LED shows the status of the coax connection and the right one shows
the accumulative status of the fiber channels.
ATTENTION
Several good fiber channels can mask faulty ones.
If both LEDs are . . .
Off
Alternately Red/Green
Green

If either LED is flashing . . .

This means . . .
The Repeater is not powered. Check the power line
for correct voltage.
The Repeater is being powered up or reset. This
indication normally lasts for 5 seconds after power is
applied.
Normal operation
There is a Repeater fault.
•
If a jabber condition is causing the fault, the fault
indication is automatically cleared when the
jabber condition is removed from the coax or fiber
port.
•
If a jabber condition is not causing the fault,
replace the Repeater.
