Maintenance
4.1.

Inspection

All parts of the OptimAir must be cleaned and checked for damage and wear
each time it is used. If necessary, the parts must be replaced. Parts checked are:
Breathing tube and connections
All filters
Charge condition of the battery
Basic apparatus OptimAir
Attention!
Further repair work must only be performed by MSA or by an
authorised customer service organisation.
4.2.

Filter change

Attention!
Only change the filters in pairs and using filters of the same type.
( Filter operating manual)
Exhausted or damaged filters should be replaced as follows:
(1) Remove the filter caps and remove the filters
(2) Insert new filters ( section 3.2)
(3) Re-calibrate the apparatus ( section 3.3)
4.3.

Breathing tube

Before each use check the tubing for damage such as tears or holes.
Damaged tubing must be replaced by new tubing.
