The purpose of this manual is to provide the knowledge necessary for the use and maintenance of the machine Pressa manuale idraulica e pneumatica Art. P001/75 and create a sense of responsibility and an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of the means entrusted to the operator.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES RAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF SAFETY OPERATIONAL AND RISK WARNINGS The following boxes are designed to attract the attention of the reader / user for the proper and safe use of the machine: Pay Attention This highlights behavioural rules to prevent damage to the machine and/or the occurrence of dangerous situations.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 2 SAFETY WARNINGS 2.1 General safety rules for machine equipment Risks associated with using the machine DO NOT underestimate the risks associated with using the machine and concentrate on the work in progress. Risks associated with using the machine Despite the implementation of all the safety devices for safe use of the machine, it is necessary to take note of all the requirements for the prevention of accidents reported in various parts of this manual.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 7. Work without disturbances. 8. Work areas must be well lit. 9. Always wear eye protection and protective gloves while working. If dust is produced, use the appropriate masks. 10.Wear appropriate clothing. Loose clothing, dangling jewellery, long hair, etc.., can get caught in the moving parts, causing irreparable injury.
Hydraulic pressure (MPa) 59.92 Empty mass (kg) 4 DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE The M Art. P001/75 is a machine designed for pressing objects ANUAL YDRAULIC RESS made of metal or similar materials; for example, for the assembly of mechanical units, press fitting bearings or pulleys on shafts, etc.

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 5 MACHINE SAFETY DEVICES The main safety devices of the press include: The support spring of the plunger; Table and bed plate locking pins. The Press has a spring inserted inside the cylinder which supports the plunger, preventing accidental falling due to gravity.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 6 IMPROPER USES AND PRECAUTIONS The following actions, which obviously cannot cover the entire range of possible "misuse" of the machines are strictly forbidden. IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN !! To compress springs or other similar objects; ...

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8 ASSEMBLY AND COMMISSIONING 8.1 General warnings The following chapters are the core of the manual, as they contain the real operating instructions on how to install, operate and maintain the Pneumatic Manual Hydraulic Press. The safety information in the preceding pages must be read and understood before learning the operating procedures.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8.3 Press assembly To assemble the press, follow these steps: 1. Unscrew the two M12 bolts that connect the pallet carrier to the body of the press, used to make it easier to transport. 2. Connect the base section (Ref. 01 in the figure) to the left and right side supports (Ref.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES Assembly of the connecting pipes: Pipe 1: Remove the cap from the connecting pipe (Ref. 58 in the figure) and then insert the O-ring (Ref. figure). meantime, remove the cap from the cylinder unit (Ref. 37 in the figure) and attach the connecting pipe (Ref.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8.4 Press installation Loss of stability / Fall Choose a press assembly position such that: the area is sheltered from weather and moisture; the surface is perfectly flat, non-slip and non-deformable, with an appropriate load capacity for the weight of the machine;...
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9 MACHINE OPERATION 9.1 Adjusting table height Loss of stability / Fall Move the table vertically only when the machine is free of load (hydraulic circuit not under pressure). Ensure no one has limbs or body parts under the table to avoid crushing. Protective gloves Always wear suitable protective gloves while moving the table vertically.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES Crushing Always keep at least two pins, one for each side, always inserted in the body of the machine below the pallet to prevent the latter from falling. 4. Raise or lower the pallet carrier using the winch handle to the desired height, making sure that the holes of the levelled pallet carrier are aligned with the holes on the vertical columns of the press.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 3. Operate the pump by applying an alternating motion to the operating lever. The press is equipped with two operating levers equipped with pistons of different sizes. Use the longer lever to move the plunger close to the object to be pressed and then use the shorter lever, which acts on a piston with a smaller diameter, for the actual work of pressing.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9.4 Pressing work with pneumatic energy It is also possible to operate the press using pneumatic energy supplied by an external source (compressor, centralised circuit, etc.) to put the hydraulic circuit under pressure alternatively to the motion of manual pumping. To take advantage of this type of supply, connect the quick coupling of the compressed air pipe, then press the control lever of the valve to activate the pump and put the hydraulic oil under pressure.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 10 MAINTENANCE The purpose of this chapter is to provide the timing and maintenance procedures required to maintain the M ANUAL YDRAULIC RESS Maintenance and repairs must be performed exclusively by qualified personnel. Maintenance with machine unloaded Bring the piston back to its resting position (hydraulic circuit not under pressure) before performing any maintenance operation.

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 1. General visual inspection: check the general condition of the machine, if there are any damaged or missing parts. 2. Check the clear visibility and legibility of labels: the label on the machine must be perfectly visible and legible. It is therefore necessary to keep it clean and ask the maintenance officer for a replacement if it is illegible.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 11 TROUBLESHOOTING COMMON PROBLEMS Problem Cause Solution A. There is a leak in the A. Check the connections The pump is operating but circuit between between the hydraulic the plunger does not move. pump and the cylinder pipes and replace the seals A.
