Insert the rip fence into the rectangular hole on the
side of the base with the fence guide facing up.

Insert the circular guide pin through either of the
two holes on the fence guide. Screw the threaded knob
onto the pin to secure the pin.

Slide the rip fence to the desired cutting radius,
and tighten the bolt to secure it in place. Then move the
base all the way forward.
NOTE: Always use jig saw blades No. B-17, B-18,
B-26 or B-27 when cutting circles or arcs.

For splinter-free cuts, the anti-splintering device can
be used. To install the anti-splintering device, move the
base all the way forward and insert it between the two
protrusions of the base.
NOTE: The anti-splintering device cannot be used
when making bevel cuts.

Warranty Policy

Every Makita tool is thoroughly inspected and tested before
leaving the factory. It is warranted to be free of defects from work-
manship and materials for the period of ONE YEAR from the date

of original purchase. Should any trouble develop during this one
year period, return the COMPLETE tool, freight prepaid, to one
of Makita's Factory or Authorized Service Centers. If inspection
shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or mate-
rial, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge.
This Warranty does not apply where:
IN NO EVENT SHALL MAKITA BE LIABLE FOR ANY
INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES FROM THE SALE OR USE OF THE
PRODUCT. THIS DISCLAIMER APPLIES BOTH
DURING AND AFTER THE TERM OF THIS
WARRANTY.
MAKITA DISCLAIMS LIABILITY FOR ANY IMPLIED
WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF "MERCHANTABILITY" AND "FITNESS FOR A
SPECIFIC PURPOSE," AFTER THE ONE YEAR TERM
OF THIS WARRANTY.
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you
may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

of incidental or consequential damages, so the above
