If you do not want to auto synch the clock whenever you listen to XM radio (for example, some people prefer to set their clock ahead a
few minutes to avoid being late), you can disable this feature. To do so:
1. Press the 3 Menu button.
2. Use the 9 Rotary knob to select >TIME SYNC<.
3. Press the 7 Enter button.
4. Use the 9 Rotary knob to select >OFF<.
5. Press the 7 Enter button. 2 beeps will confirm that time synch is now off. To enable the feature again, follow the same steps but
set to >ON<.
1. Attach the XM Connect + Play antenna (sold separately) to the Connect + Play antenna jack on the back of the unit.
2. To begin receiving XM satellite radio programs, press the Power On Button to turn on the TMX1. Press the Mode button to select
XM mode. The display will show "XM Satellite Radio" followed by XM channel information. Tune to channel 1, the XM Preview channel.
Adjust antenna until you have at least 3 reception bars in the upper left of the display. [

3. Select channel 0. The eight-character XM satellite Radio ID for your receiver will be displayed. Write the ID here:
Note: Check your XM radio ID carefully. The letters I, O, S and F are not used.
4. Activate your XM Satellite Radio servce. To subscribe, make sure you have a major credit card and your XM Satellite Radio ID handy.

5. After subscribing, make sure you keep the TMX1 ON for at least an hour to complete the activation process. Activation is complete
when you can access the full channel lineup on your TMX1.
