Selecting Channels
You may select channels by using the 9 Rotary Knob, by pressing one of the preset buttons (0-9), or by entering the channel number
directly. Similar functions are available on the remote control.
Using the Rotary Knob
1. Turn the 9 Rotary Knob to a desired channel.
See Direct Tune (page 11) for information on selecting channels with or without pressing the XM enter button.
Direct Entry

1. Press the 4
2. Press number keys matching the desired channel number. For instance, for channel 20, press number 2, then number 0.
Using Presets
There are 30 total presets, 10 in each bank (A, B and C) [
press the preset button (0-9) for the channel (for example, A-3, C-9, B-7).
To set a channel preset:
1. Tune in the desired channel.

3. Press and hold the number key for the preset you want to set. The unit will beep when the channel is stored. Continue until you've
stored all the presets you wish to.
To select a stored preset:

2. Press a number key to tune to that channel.
Note: Pressing a number key that has not been assigned to a preset will bring you to the XM preview channel (channel 1).
Memorizing Song Information
TMX1 can remember the artist name and title of the song or programming you are currently listening to.
1. Press and release the 2
songs, after which any new information that is saved replaces the oldest entry.
2. To recall saved information while listening to XM radio, press and hold memory for 2 seconds. Turn the Rotary knob to see the entire
list of songs.
Changing the Display
Display button to select any one of 3 screens.

2. Channel name and number with song title.
3. Artist name with song title.
Recall Last Channel
Jump button to switch to the channel that was previously being listened to.
