Selecting Categories
XM channels are organized into "neighborhoods" of similar musical or programming content. To tune to channels by categories:

You can program TMX1 to remember your favorite songs; when any of these songs are played on any channel, TMX1 alerts you with a
beep and allows you to immediately switch to that channel.
1. While the song is playing, press the
"Song Selected" on its screen. TMX1 can remember up to 20 songs; when the list is full, any new entry replaces the oldest item in
the list.
2. When any song in the list plays on any channel, TMX1 beeps and displays "Song Found" and the name of the song on its screen.

DIRECT TUNE
By default, your TMX1 comes with Direct Tune set to ON, meaning that turning the 9
to XM radio will change to that channel (without pressing the XM button) , but you can use the 9
and song titles on other channels while listening to a current channel. To do so you must change the Direct Tune option to OFF.

1. While the power is ON, press L MODE button until "AM Radio" or "FM Radio" appears in the display.
2. Use the 8 Category up button or 6 Category down button or 9 Rotary knob to select stations.
3. To save a station in a preset, press and hold a preset button until TMX1 beeps. There are 20 presets in all, 10 for AM and 10 for FM.
4. Pressing the 5 Scan button (Search button on the remote controller) causes TMX1 to automatically tune to the next station and
play it for 10 seconds. If you hear a station you like, press Scan again to stop on that station.
5. Pressing the J Jump button changes back to the last channel listened to for more than 5 seconds.
When you change stations, TMX1 automatically sets reception to stereo.
