Besides showing the Normal status, the LCD displays error messages when faults occur:

The printer is in good operating condition and ready to print.
The ▎▎or ■ button on the Control Panel is press.
This warns abnormal print head temperature.
The print head is lifted up.
This warns out of media.
This warns not able to detect media present.
This warns jammed media.
This warns ribbon ended.
This warns slipping ribbon winding.
*This warns cutting action is interfered by foreign objects.
