Ensure that you have a dummy load as the antenna selected.



Ensure you do not have the antenna tuner on the TS-990S engaged (OFF).

See the figure below and adjust your setup to this value. (this figure indicates -10 dB which was an older

method). By keeping the Fldigi output as close to 0 dB as possible, we keep the actual digitized audio as

pure as possible.

Use the single or double arrows to adjust this value. When using Fldigi normally, you will adjust this

value down to about – 0 dB or a maximum of 3 dB lower. During your fine tuning you may wish to set

this a bit lower (more attenuation), but you should strive to keep this attenuation below 3 dB! Select the

PSK31 mode from the 'Op Mode" menu of Fldigi.
