• In the grinding mode the shade function is turned
off. The shade is fixed to shade DIN 3.5 allowing a cle-
ar view to grind a weld with the helmet providing face
protection. Warning: do not use the helmet in grinding
position for any other application than grinding.
Darkness Selection
• Striking the arc, the observing
window darkens immediately. At
this moment, according to the tech-
nical requirement, you can adjust
the darkness knob (Fig. 1B) in the
direction as shown by the arrow to
select the optimum darkness. Refer
to the "Recommended Shade Num-
bers" table.
Test Key (Fig. 1C)
• Press and hold "TEST" to preview the
shade selection before welding. When
released the viewing window will auto-
matically return to the light state (DIN
3.5). Press "TEST", if viewing window doesn't turn to
dark state, replace bateeries and try again.
Delay Time Selection (Fig. 1D)
• By moving the Delay selector knob
on the rear of the cartridge, the time
taken for the lens to lighten after wel-
ding can be altered from 0.1 to 1.0s.
Turn to S: the time the lens lighten
after welding changes to be shorter.
The shortest time is about 0.1 se-
cond depending upon welding point
temperature and shade set. This set-
ting is ideal for track welding or production welding with
short welds.
Turn to L: the time the lens lighten after welding chan-
ges to be longer. The longest time is about 1.0s de-
pending upon welding point temperature and shade
set. This setting is ideal for welding at high amperage
where there is an after glow from the weld and for low
current TIG welding in order to avoid the filter opening
when the light to the sensors is obstructed by the opra-
tor's hand, by the torch, etc.
Sensibitivity Selection (Fig.E)
• By moving the sensitivity selector
knob on the rear of the cartridge, the
sensitivity to ambient light changes
can be altered.
Tunr to L (LOW): the photosensitivity
changes to be lower. Suitable for wel-
ding in bright light conditions (lamp
light or sun light).
Turn to H (HIGH): the photosensitivity changes to be
higher. Suitable for low amperage welding and using
in poor light conditions. Suitable for using with steady
arc process such as TIG welding. If the helmet can be
used normally, we suggest using this helmet with a bit
high sensitivity.
Helmet adjustment
• Because the shapes of men's heads vary from per-

son to person, the work position and the observing an-
gle is different and welding helmet needs to be adju-
sted properly.
• Adjust the headband cir-
cumference by rotating the
knob on the back of the he-
adband (Fig. 2Y) This can
be done while wearing the
helmet to allow the right ten-
sion to be set to keep the
helmet firmly on the head
without it being too tight.

Adjust the top strap of
the headband (Fig. 2W) so

that the helmet gets placed
at the right height on your
head.
• Test the fit of the headband, by lifting up and getting
down the helmet a few times while wearing it. If the
headband moves, adjust it again.
• Unscrew the side locking knobs (Fig. 2T) and free
the locking nuts (Fig. 2Z) on both sides. Slide the hel-

met close to or far from your face to adjust the distance
from your eyes to the filter. It's important yours eyes
are both at the same distance from the lenses
• Screw the side locking knobs.
View angle adjustment (Fig. 3)
• Adjust the view angle by moving the
adjustment washer to the desired posi-
tion.

External Protection Lens
• To replace the external protection lens remove the
filter cartridge (Fig. 4 A) by unlocking the holder lock
below the cartridge.
Internal protection Lens
• Replace the internal protection lens if damaged.
Remove the lens from the window by making it flex
and bringing it out from its place with the help of your
fingertip or fingernail.
Filter Cartridge
•
To replace the filter, remove the filter cartridge from
the helmet (Fig.4 A). Make the top side of the support
flexed and remove the filter (Fig. 4 B). Install the new
filter with care and properly. Reposiion the filter cartrid-
ge on the helmet.
Cleaning
• Regularly clean the helmet and the filter with a dry
soft cloth. Do not use aggressive solvents.
