Intended use

The infrared lamp is a local warmth therapy device. Possible therapeutic applications are:
- Treatment of occasional or chronic muscle pain, stiff muscles and stiff joints.
- Treatment of lower-back pain.
- Treatment of pain due to rheumatic disorders (during the non-inflammatory phase)
This device is intended for indoor use by adults who experience acute and chronic muscle or joint
pain.
Other applications
You can also use the infrared lamp for the following purposes:
- Muscle relaxation.
- Preparation for a massage.

Important safety information

Read this important information carefully before you use the device and save it for future reference.

Contraindications

- Do not use the device without consulting your doctor first if you suffer from severe diseases such
as heart disease, acute inflammatory diseases, thrombosis, blood coagulation disorders, adrenal
suppression, systemic lupus erythematous or malignant diseases.
- Do not use the device if you are oversensitive to infrared light. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you have oedema. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you are insensitive to infrared radiation and heat due to a disease (e.g.
advanced diabetes) or due to the use of painkillers. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you suffer from conditions associated with nerve demyelinisation such as
carpal tunnel syndrome, multiple sclerosis and ulnar neuropathy. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you have an implanted device, particularly not if it is located in the vicinity
of the treatment area. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- If you are pregnant, do not use the device to treat areas close to your abdomen, to avoid
overheating of this area. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device if you have a swelling or an inflammation, as heat could aggravate the
complaints. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device on damaged or irritated skin or on wounds. If in doubt, consult your doctor.
- Do not use the device to treat areas on which you have recently applied topical counterirritants
(creams or ointments containing e.g. menthol), as this can cause a mild inflammatory reaction.
- Do not use the device if you suffer from poor thermal regulation or impaired circulation. If in doubt,
consult your doctor.
