1.3 General remarks

Before starting ... some clarification to better
understand how the Heating-DHW system
and its control function.
Heating circuit
This is the water circuit that feeds the heat-
ing elements. Normally activated in the win-
ter only and in the colder periods of the year
and has the task of ensuring comfort in the
environments served.
DHW circuit
This is the water circuit that feeds the water
consumption utilities (sink, bath tub, show-
er).
Antifreeze
This is the system that protects the boiler and
the system from the formation of ice if tem-
peratures drop below zero degrees Celsius.
It activates automatically as long as the boiler
is electrically powered and the gas taps are
open.
Display
This is the screen of the control panel where
the symbols, titles, temperatures, etc., corre-
sponding to the particular operating condi-
tions, are displayed.
Summer operation
The boiler supplies the Domestic Hot Water
circuit only providing hot water.
Winter operation
The boiler feeds both the DHW circuit and the
heating circuit.
Comfort condition
This is the situation with the environments at
the ideal temperature.
Reduced condition
This is the situation with the environments at
reduced temperature in relation to the ideal
level. This is usually a night-time condition
or for periods during which the user is not
at home.
Set program
This is the sequence of conditions (comfort
and reduced condition) and relative selected
and planned temperatures.
Standard program (pre-set by the manu-
facturer)
That in the memory on the 1st ignition.
Manual operation
This is the situation in which the tempera-
tures are managed directly by the user. The
control panel acts as a simple ambient ther-
mostat (eliminating the other automations);
the boiler ignites (the burner starts) whenev-
er the temperature measured in the environ-
ment is lower than that set.
Fault code
This is an message that appears on the dis-
play and indicates the type of fault that has
