SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Read all of the instructions carefully before using the heater.
2. Be sure only to use the fan-heater in the manner described in this
manual. Any other form of use not recommended by the manufacturer
may lead to fire, electric shock or injury.
3. Make sure that the power supply you use corresponds to the electrical
requirements of the heater: the EK2001 and EK3301 ask
AC230V/50Hz., the EK5001 and EK9002 ask AC400V-50Hz.
4. Do not allow the fan-heater to be used by children or by people with
handicaps; if the fan-heater is used in the vicinity of children or
handicapped people or if the fan-heater is left to operate without
supervision, you must observe the strictest safety measures.
5. To prevent electric shocks, the plug on the fan-heater must be
connected to an appropriate power socket. If the plug does not fit
exactly, you should consult a qualified electrician. Never attempt to
find a way round the safety features!
6. Avoid using extension leads. They result loss of power and may
generate heat in the lead that may cause a danger of fire occurring. If
an extension lead is absolutely necessary, use a minimum of a three-
wire lead for the EK2001/3301 with a minimum diameter of 2.5 mm²
capable of handling a minimum of 2500 (EK2001) or 3500 Watts
(EK3301). A minimum of a four-wire lead is required for the EK5001
and the EK9002, with a minimum diameter of 2.5 mm² capable of
handling a minimum of 6000 (EK5001) and 11000 (EK9002) Watts
respectively. Never use a single extension lead for more than one fan-
heater, or for one fan-heater and another item of electrical equipment!
7. Do not use the fan-heater if the cable or plug are damaged or after it
has malfunctioned, has fallen or been dropped, or is damaged in any
way. Take the fan-heater to a qualified repairer to be checked and/or
repaired.
8. Switch the fan-heater off and take the plug out of the socket before
moving the fan-heater or carrying out any cleaning or care. Always
remove the plug from the power socket when the fan-heater is not in
use.
9. If the power cable becomes damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or a qualified repairer in order to prevent any danger.
