CHECKING
THE MECHANISM
MODE
POSITIONS
Check the mark for "slide, crescent VC" from the top and
bottom
sides
of the
mechanism
to determine
the
appropriate
mechanism
mode position.

with display
tubes which
come with a service
mode
setting
function
will indicate
HEX DATA on the
display tube. Refer to "3-l-l.

CHECKING
FROM
THE TOP SIDE
OF THE
MECHANISM
As shown in Fig. 2-2-2 and Fig. 2-2-3, the "slide, crescent
VC" has marking
lines
and symbols
to indicate
the
mechanism
modes
with
the edge
of the mechanism
L
chassis as a reference.
The mechanism
mode
can be determined
from
the
marking
line for the "slide, crescent VC" which matches
the reference
line of the mechanism
chassis. The HEX
DATA can also be checked from the mechanism
chassis
hole.
Note:
No
HEX DATA is indicated
for the EJECT
mode,
Instead, the hole will be empty.
No HEX DATA is indicated
for the IN REW mode
because
it is near the INITIAL
mode and so cannot
be indicated.
For the same reason, there is also no
marking
line for the INITIAL
mode.
