Application area

The Thermozone AC 200 air curtains are intended
for permanent installation above entrance and
smaller doors up to 2,5 metres. The efficiency of
the curtains is dependent on the size of load on
the door in question.
The Thermozone AC 200 is supplied with or
without heating element and is mounted above
the entrance. The unit can also be installed in
false ceilings. In order to obtain the best efficiency,
the air curtains should cover the whole width of the
opening.

Operation

The air is drawn in from the front of the unit and is
blown out downwards so that it screens the door
opening and minimises any heat leakage.
The air speed is adjusted in two stages using the
speed selector and the electric heat, if any, in two
stages.
NOTE! Negative pressure in the building
considerably reduces the efficiency of the air
curtain. The ventilation should therefore be
balanced!
Assembly
The units may only be installed horizontally with a
downward output air direction. Several units can
be mounted next to each other when wide door
openings occur. The units can be mounted as close
to the ceiling as possible. Regarding other
dimensions and minimum assembly distances,
please see Page 2. NOTE! All 1.5 m wide units
must be fixed using the three points of attachment
(on each end and in the middle), when suspended
from the ceiling or mounted on the wall.
a) Fitted on the wall or beam
• The Thermozone is to be suspended on the
2 / 3 keyhole slots on the rear of the unit.
Suitable bolts can be M6S or M6. NOTE! The
unit must be secured using the supplied
locking strip if fitted using the keyhole slots.
The brackets can be fitted either facing
upwards or downwards, see Page 2.
• The Thermozone can be bolted direct to the
wall/beam. For this application, there are 4 / 6
M6 bolts on the rear of the unit, see fig. 3.
b) Suspension with drop rods
• For pendulum fixing there are 4 / 6 M6 bolts
on the top of the unit with paired c/c distance
of 100 mm, see fig. 2. Brackets for pendulum
fixing are available as accessories.

Electrical installation

The electrical installation should be carried out by
a qualified electrician in conformity with prevailing
regulations. The appliance should be preceded by
a triple pole switch with at least 3 mm breaking
gap. The front plate has to be dismounted to reach
the connection area. See wiring diagram for
connection. The connection should be made with
a cable type S05VV-U, A05VV-R or similar.

On the upper side of the unit there are knock-outs,
2 pcs ø 29 and 4 pcs ø 23. The cable-glands used
must guarantee the protection class requirements!
For units with electrical heating, the power and
voltage should be supplied in different connection
areas. NOTE! The heating power voltage should
be connected in two different places, in the middle
and to the right (see wiring diagram).
In the distribution board it is to be indicated that
"the air curtains can be supplied from more than
one connection".
Security
• Ensure that the area around the intake and
exhaust grille is kept free from material which
could prevent the air to flow through the unit!
• During operation the surfaces of the unit are
hot!
• The unit must not be covered fully or
partially with clothes or similar materials,
as overheating can result in a fire risk!
Overheating
The Thermozone is equipped with two overheat
protectors, one for each motor. If one is released
due to overheating, reset as follows:
a) Disconnect the electricity with the fully
isolated switch.
b) Investigate the matter and repair the fault.
c) Reset is performed as follows:
• Dismount the front plate.
• Find the red button located beneath the
terminal block on the right side of the unit.
• Press the red button until a click is heard.
d) Connect the Thermozone again.
