DTRIX15
digitally controlled integrated system
Introduction
DTRIX15 is a digitally controlled integrated loudspeaker
system made up of 2 passive satellites and an active
subwoofer. Inside the subwoofer's cabinet, 3 power amplifiers
and some sophisticated digital control electronics make the
whole system work at its best in multiple situations and in
the simplest manner.
The high sound quality and the great versatility of DTRIX15
make it a really exciting work tool, ideal both as a mobile
amplification system and for small fixed installations in clubs
and pubs.
The bass-reflex enclosure of the SUBWOOFER incorporates:
- a 15" high efficiency woofer, developed to our specifications
expressly for this project
- a 24 bit dedicated digital dynamics processor, based on
a latest generation DSP and Delta-Sigma converters, which
performs all the filtering functions and dynamic range's
and frequency response's control (with 8 presets)
- three power amplifiers to drive the system components.
Each amplifier features a class AB MosFet output stage to
guarantee top performance in terms of dynamics, distortion
and warmth of sound.
The total output power of the DTRIX15 system is 700 W
continuous (950 W peak) divided into 400 W (550 W peak)
for the subwoofer and 150 W + 150 W (200 W + 200 W peak)
for the satellites.
The 8 different frequency response's presets available make
the DTRIX15 extraordinarily versatile. In fact, by just pressing
a button the system can be transformed, adapting it to all
needs and tastes: from jazz to the DJ-set.
The two passive SATELLITES are equipped with an 8" custom
woofer, that provides accurate reproduction of the medium-
low frequencies, coupled to a 1" driver loaded by a 90° x 60°
horn.
The high sound pressure delivered by the DTRIX15 means it
can cope with situations that were previously unthinkable
with such a compact and lightweight system.
The applications for this type of system range from small gigs
to piano bar, from sound systems for medium venues to the
use as a stage monitor for electronic instruments (particularly
for drum-sets).
