BURNER PAN MEDIA
1.
Fill the burner pan with burner media (VM).
Burner media level should be sloped evenly with the
sides of the burner. Place 2/3 of the PART A Embers
on top of the media. Burner should be completely
full.
2. Light the gas and observe flame for even
distribution.
3. PART B Embers (rockwool) are placed over the
media to simulate glowing embers.
results, pinch off pieces of the Fire Embers the
size of a dime and feather it out. Place as much
as desired over the area the gas comes through.

PILOT LIGHT

The pilot flame on the RSTPBLP-18 should be
checked periodically to assure proper flame. On the
BURNER, the flame should be on the vertical side of
the burner and should be directed toward the

thermocouple.

GRATE PLACEMENT

Place the pedestal grate over the burner with one of
the legs inside the SBN-GBB (burner to grate
position bracket). The ember burner pan will now be
positively positioned in relation to the grate.

LOG PLACEMENT

The longest logs are front logs.
placed on the front/angled portion of the grate with
the flat sides facing inward and toward each other.
The 3/8" diameter paint dots should be pointing up.
The top logs should be placed over the 3/8" diameter
paint dots and positioned as shown on the log
diagrams. (The last page of this manual)
The black volcanic cinders are used to cover the fireplace floor, fittings, and tubing around the
burner system. Although not functional, the black cinders act as a picture frame to show off the
glowing embers and yellow flame.
