Screen elements
Note: Some of these screen elements
are mutually exclusive.
1. Menu system.
2. Measurement results table, including
information about the emissivity
value.
3. Power indicator. When the camera is
powered using a battery, a battery
level indicator is displayed.
4. USB™ indicator. This indicator is
displayed when the camera is
connected to a computer using a
USB™ cable.
5. Laser pointer indicator. This indicator
is displayed when the laser pointer is
activated.
6. Date and time.
7. Measurement spot.
8. Measurement area.
9. Limit value for an isotherm in the
temperature scale.
10. Limit value for the temperature scale.
11. Temperature span indicator.
12. Indicator for automatic or manual
mode (A/M).
13. Current function for the right selection
button.

Quick Start Guide
Follow this procedure to start
immediately:
1. Charge the battery for 4 hours before
you start the camera for the first time.
• You can charge the battery in the
stand-alone battery charger, or by
connecting the power supply cable
directly to the battery.
• When the green light of the battery
condition indicator is continuous,
the battery is fully charged.
2. Insert the battery into the battery
compartment.
3. Insert a memory card into the
memory card slot.
4. Push the on/off button to turn on the
camera.
5. Remove the lens cap.
6. Aim the camera toward your target of
interest.
7. Focus the camera by rotating the
focus ring.
8. Pull the trigger to save the image.
9. To move the image to a computer, do
one of the following:
• Remove the memory card and
insert it into a card reader
connected to a computer. An
