for proper adult supervision. Stop using when child becomes old enough to defeat it. Regularly check for wear
and that straps are tight and securely anchored. Keep extra cord length tucked away out of reach from
children. DO NOT use product if damaged or broken. It is important to firmly discourage children from
climbing on furniture at all times. FOR INDOOR HOME USE ONLY.
WARNING: Adult installation required. A minimum of 2 Straps must be used on any single furniture item.
For heavy or tall furniture items, additional Straps should be used. For stacked pieces of furniture, anchor
the top piece to the base and then anchor to the wall. Ensure the straps are installed into a solid piece of
wood on the back (or the top) of the furniture. Some furniture may have very thin pieces of wood or other
materials on the back that would not be able to hold a screw. Attach Straps to a wall stud only. DO NOT
attach furniture or TV using plastic drywall anchors. Any damage to the property during installation or
removal of this product is the sole responsibility of the end user.
Installation—Furniture to Wall
Step 1:
Using a stud finder, locate wall studs behind furniture. Using a pencil, mark the
location of the wall studs on the wall. Transfer the markings to the furniture
directly opposite the markings on the wall studs.
Note: A minimum of 2 straps should be used on a single furniture item. Each
strap should mount to a separate stud.
Step 2:
Slide furniture away from wall.
Step 3:
Using the metal cleat on Side A of the strap (see side image) as a guide, mark
the two outside holes on the cleat approximately 8" below the top of the
furniture. Drill a pilot hole using a 3/32" drill bit into the wall studs.
Step 4: Attach Side A (see side image) of the strap to the wall studs using the #8 x 2"
wood screws provided. Make certain that the release lever faces up as shown.
Step 5:
Locate the pencil mark previously marked on the furniture in Step 1.
Note: Refer to warning statement to ensure you are mounting the strap into a
solid piece of wood on the furniture. Mark the two outside holes on the metal
cleat on side B of the strap (see side image) with a pencil. Drill a pilot hole using
a 3/32" drill bit into the furniture.
Step 6:
Attach Side B (see side image) of the strap with the #8 x 1" screws provided.
Step 7:
Slide furniture back into position.
Step 8:
Pull strap on furniture bracket until there is no slack. Do this for both straps.
Note: The strap must be inserted through the underside of the buckle for the strap to function correctly.
Installation—TV to Wall
Step 1:
Locate upper VESA mounting holes on the back of flat screen TV. This is
where you will attach the straps.
Step 2: Determine the correct bolt size. Put the bolts through the center hole on the
metal cleat on Side B (see side image) of the strap and tighten to the VESA
mounting hole.
Step 3: Locate the wall studs behind the TV by using a stud finder. Using the metal
cleat on Side A of the strap (see side image) as a guide, mark the two outside
holes on the cleat approximately 6" below the height of the position of the
metal cleat attached to the TV. Drill a pilot hole using a 3/32" drill bit into the
wall studs.
Mount Side A (see side image) of each of the straps to a separate stud, using
Step 4:
the #8 x 2" screws provided.
Step 5:
Tighten each strap until there is no slack. Do this for both straps.
Note: The strap must be inserted through the underside of the buckle for the
strap to function correctly.
Note: Do not use this method if the stand is unstable. It may be necessary to
install a second set of straps to the stand to avoid possible tip over.
