Flat Basket Assembly:
1.
Lay out the five sections of the Kolpin Flat Basket. The contoured bottom will be towards the
handle bars. The bottom is the larger rectangular portion without a label. The front panel has a
Kolpin label on it. The left and right sides will be made of 1.5 inch tubing. (see above picture for
correct orientation)
2.
Check to see that all the plastic plugs are inside the ends of the 1 inch tubing. This will insure
proper fit and prevent any excess noise.
3.
Using the basket assembly bolts, attach the sections together with the supplied Allen Wrench.
Some type of lock-tight should be used on the bolts to prevent loosening.
Flat Basket Mounting:
1.
Locate positions on your ATV rack to mount the Flat Basket. Try to stay near the metal straps
under the metal mesh.
2.
Using the U-Bolts provided, secure the Flat Basket to the rack. Place the cross over brace over the
U-bolt threads and secure with a nylon nut.
Flat Basket Use:
The Flat Basket is designed to extend your front or rear rack allowing more cargo capacity.
Note that the Flat Basket is designed to carry only as much weight as your ATV Manufacturer
recommends. Do not exceed the manufacturers recommended carrying capacity.
NOTE: after first use, recheck all assembly bolts and retighten as necessary! Lost bolts due to
loosening are not covered by warranty.
