Basic Functions

Demonstration mode

The system has a demonstration mode that
shows the various features offered by the system.
To activate the demonstration
In standby mode, press and hold Ç on the
system until "DEMO ON" is displayed.
The demonstration will begin.
To deactivate the demonstration
Press and hold Ç on the system until
"DEMO OFF" is displayed.
The system will switch to standby mode.
Note:
– If you have not deactivated the demonstration, it
will resume five seconds after the system switches
to standby mode.

Switching the system on

In standby/demonstration mode
Press STANDBY ON to switch on the last
selected source.
Press CD 1•2•3 (CD 123), TUNER, CDR or
AUX.
Press any one of the disc CD OPEN•CLOSE
buttons or CDR OPEN•CLOSE.
The system will switch to the respective CD
or CDR mode.
Switching the system to standby
mode
In demonstration mode
Press and hold Ç on the system.
In any other source mode
Press STANDBY ON (or B on the remote
control).
The clock will appear on the display when the
system is in standby mode.

Display screen selection

Dim mode

You can select the desired brightness for the
display.
Press DIM repeatedly to select DIM 1, DIM 2,
DIM 3 or DIM OFF display mode.

Clock display mode

The clock will always appear on the display
regardless of any source mode (except Eco
Power standby and demonstration mode).
Press CLOCK/TIMER (or CLOCK on the
remote control) once.
The clock is displayed. If the clock has not
been set, "--:--" is displayed.
To return to normal display mode, press
CLOCK/TIMER again.
Notes:
– If you pressed any keys in clock display mode,
the display will briefly show the information related
to the selected mode.
– If you pressed CLOCK/TIMER while in recording
or menu modes, the clock display will only show for
a few seconds.
