Assembling the Driveshaft to the
Flywheel-Adapter Plate
1.
Assemble the driveshaft to the flywheel-adapter
plate and backup plate
capscrew (3/8 x 1 inch) and 6 flange locknut
(3/8 inch).

Torque the capscrews and lock nuts to 37 to 43
N∙m (28 to 32 ft lb).

Assembling the Driveshaft and
Flywheel-Adapter Plate to the
Engine
Owner supplied material: Permatex® high-strength
thread locking compound Part No. 24010
1.
Apply a coat of the specified high-strength
thread locking compound onto the threads of the
8 flange-head capscrew.
2.
Assemble the 2 backup rings and
flywheel-adapter plate to the flywheel of
the engine with the 8 flange-head capscrew as
shown in
Figure
(Figure
6) with the 6

Torque the flange-head capscrews to 23 to 28
N∙m (17 to 21 ft lb).
Assembling the Driveshaft to the

Align the splines of the driveshaft yoke to the
splines of the hydraulic-pump shaft
