2. Remove the 2 flange nuts that secure the
drive-line guard to the heat shield and guard
bracket, and remove the guard
Do not remove the capscrews and heat shield
from the bracket.
Note:
Keep the drive-line guard and the
locknuts for later installation.
Removing the Driveshaft
and Flywheel-Adapter Plate
Disconnecting the Driveshaft from
the Hydraulic Pump
1. Remove the 2 flange locknuts and 2 capscrews
that secure the driveshaft yoke to the shaft of
the hydraulic pump
Note:
Keep the locknuts and capscrews for
later installation.

2. Separate the driveshaft yolk from the pump
(Figure 2).
3. Remove the driveshaft and flywheel-adapter
plate from the engine as follows:

Removing the Driveshaft and
Flywheel-Adapter Plate from the
Engine
Machines without Back-Up Rings
Remove 8 flange-head capscrews that secure the
flywheel-adapter plate to the flywheel of the engine,
and remove the driveshaft and flywheel-adapter plate
from the machine
Discard the 8 flange-head capscrews that you
removed.
Note:
Keep the driveshaft and flywheel-adapter plate
for later installation.
