DESCRIPTION
These fuel selector valves are for applications where
either of two fuel tanks can be used to feed a single
consumption device, such as an engine or generator. The
3-Port version is used when all the fuel being supplied to
the device is consumed. The 6-Port version is used when
only a portion of the fuel being supplied is consumed, and
the remainder must be returned to a fuel tank.
These valves incorporate either two (3-Port) or four (6-
Port) 2-way Normally Closed direct operated valves.
These
direct
acting
valves
differentials from zero to three psi.
The valves are installed in the fuel system between the
fuel tank and the fuel pump. Typical installation would be
for the fuel pump to draw fuel from the fuel tank, pulling it
through a filter, then through one of the incorporated
supply valves. Any unconsumed fuel from the engine
flows through one of the incorporated return valves and
returns to one of the fuel tanks.
These valves incorporate an emergency manual override.
When in use a complete flow path through the valve is
opened. In the 6-Port version this includes opening the
return flow path.
Valves are normally supplied with open enclosure
integrated coils, in voltages of either 12 VDC or 24 VDC.
FLUID CODES
Listed below are common fluid codes. The codes for the
approved fluids for use with these valves are printed on
the outside of the individual packaging.
