Step 9 - Earpiece Speaker

Now, carefully remove the power and volume

buttons from the LG phone. Make sure you do

not loose these two buttons because they will be

needed for reassembly.

Five connections secure the motherboard into the

phone. Use the spudger to lift and pry the four

plugged connections and the one antenna

connection up from the board.

The earpiece speaker is held in place with a small

•

amount of adhesive. Using the spudger, peel up

the earpiece speaker from its housing in the

phone.

Do not try to remove the earpiece speaker from

the LG Optimus L9; it is soldered to the

motherboard.
