• The AS311 is a general purpose serial interface module.

• By using the AS311, the controller can communicate with external devices equipped

with an RS232C/RS485 interface.

• The AS311 has two ports of the serial interface. One port (channel1) can be selected

either RS232C or RS485 by switch setting. The other port (channel2) is RS232C

interface. These two ports can be used independently for data receiving and

transmitting.

• The transmission is asynchronous (start-stop system). ASCII is used as the

transmission data code.

• The figure below shows the typical system configuration.
