Features
The Cat.5 Extender provides real time remote
KVM access via a dedicated Cat5e/6 cable. The
Cat.5 KVM Extender module consists of a local
Extender module installed into the KVM Switch
slot and a remote Cat.5 Receiver unit installed at
the remote user's location.
Installation
Before you install the local Cat.5 Extender Transmitter module into the KVM switch ensure all
connected computers are switched off and the power supply is unplugged. Proceed to unscrew
and remove the small metal cover on rear of the KVM switch. Carefully slide the module into the
slot and secure in place with the screw previously removed.
The remote Cat.5 Extender Receiver unit includes a local KVM switch which allows the remote
user to also connect a local workstation to the receiver unit and switch between the local
workstation and remote KVM Switch access.

Dieser Cat.5/6 KVM Extender erweitert die KVM

Installation
Trennen Sie den KVM Switch von seinem Netzteil bevor Sie das Einschubmodul auf der
Rückseite des KVM Switch einbauen. Ein Cat.5/6 RJ45 Verbindungskabel in der benötigten
Länge verbindet das Modul direkt mit der Receiver Box am Remote-Büroarbeitsplatz.
Die Remote Receiver Box enthält einen KVM Switch, so dass der Remote User wahlweise auf
seinem lokalen Arbeitsplatzrechner arbeiten oder auf den Fernzugriff umschalten kann. Das
beiliegende KVM Kabel verbindet den lokalen Arbeitsplatzrechner mit der Receiver Box.

Installation
Cet extender KVM cat.5/6 apporte un accès en
temps réel aux switchs U8/16 – alors que les
solutions avec accès IP doivent convertir les
signaux VGA et clavier/souris en données
TCP/IP pour les envoyer vers le réseau
local/internet, directement vers l'utilisateur distant
et avec un temps de retard.
Installation
Déconnectez l'alimentation du switch KVM avant d'installer le module extender local cat.5 dans
le switch KVM. Un câble dédié cat.5/6 RJ45 avec la longueur requise est utilisé pour connecter
le boîtier récepteur au PC d'administration.
Le récepteur distant inclut un switch KVM permettant à l'administrateur de travailler sur son
ordinateur local ou sur le switch KVM et ses serveurs connectés. Le câble KVM combo inclus
est requis pour connecter l'ordinateur au boîtier récepteur.

Caratteristiche
Questo Extender Cat.5 consente di controllare il
KVM Switch da remoto in tempo reale tramite un
cavo dedicato Cat5e/6. Il modulo Extender
consiste in un'unità locale da installare
direttamente nello slot del KVM Switch e in
un'unità ricevente da posizionare in
corrispondenza della console remota.
Installazione
Prima di installare il modulo locale nel KVM Switch assicurarsi che tutti i computer connessi
siano spenti e che l'alimentatore sia scollegato. A questo punto è possibile svitare e rimuovere
la cover in metallo sul retro del KVM Switch. Inserire il modulo nello slot ed assicurarlo allo
Switch utilizzando le viti precedentemente rimosse.
L'unità remota dell'Extender include un KVM Switch integrato che permette di collegare una
workstation locale direttamente all'unità e commutare tra questa workstation e il KVM Switch
remoto.
