8.4 Using the AUDIO 4 DJ in a Recording Setup
Using the AUDIO 4 DJ as recording device, you can transfer your beloved vinyl records to
the digital era as well as capture your own vocal or instrument performance.
8.4.1 Using the AUDIO 4 DJ as Recording Device on a PC
Open Start > Control Panel > Sounds & Audio Devices.
Click on the "Audio" tab.
As "Default Device for Sound Recording", choose one of the available channel pairs
of the AUDIO 4 DJ you want to record from, e.g. AUDIO 4 DJ (CH. A, In 1|2).
In your recording software's Options dialog, choose the respective input.
Adjust the recording level in your recording software and start recording.
8.4.2 Using the AUDIO 4 DJ as Recording Device on a Mac
Click on Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup or open the Audio MIDI Setup from
the Dock.
In "Audio Devices", choose "Audio 4 DJ" as Default Input.
Adjust the recording level in your recording software and start recording.
8.5 Using the AUDIO 4 DJ with a Control Vinyl
Make sure the volume controls of the amplifier are down!
In the Setting's Input Mode Selector, select Vinyl Control.
Connect the RCA cable of your turntable to the input pair of channel A or B of the
AUDIO 4 DJ, e.g. AUDIO 4 DJ (CH. A, In 1|2).
Attach the grounding wire of your turntable to the AUDIO 4 DJ's grounding screw.
Put a Control Vinyl on your turntable and start your DVS.
