Introduction

The SIMATIC Panel PC is an industry-standard PC platform for demanding tasks in the
field of PC-based automation.
The SIMATIC Panel PC provides detailed documentation in 6 languages in PDF format.
The documentation at hand describes the Start up of your device as a Panel PC Remote
Kit. The document includes also all information for the build up of the Panel PC Remote
Kit, which are not contained in documentation of the central configuration e.g. the
technical data.

Carry out the tasks in the sequence described. Observe all safety instructions.
Read the documentation thoroughly once you have completed commissioning. Observe all of the
safety instructions and notes included in the documentation.

Overview

Computer and control unit with the remote device will be delivered separate in the Panel
PC Remote Kit version. The control unit is assembled apart from the computer.

• The Remote device is indicted as receiver, will be mounted on the back of the control
unit.
• The optional key module will be mounted on the Remote device.
• The USB transmitter will be connected and mounted with computer.
• The single components will be connected with supplied cables.
