6.2 Information about network security Select secure encryption for your WLAN radio network The connection must be securely encrypted if you want to use WLAN. The current encryption standard is WPA2. Change the preset WLAN password of your router after the com- missioning.

7. Safety instructions Mains voltage spikes can cause the device to be damaged. ◆ Never install the HomePilot® during a thunderstorm. 7.1 Intended use Only use the HomePilot® for configuring and controlling RADEMACHER devices. Operating conditions ◆ Only use the HomePilot® in dry rooms.
Applications of this kind require additional safety equipment. Observe the respective statutory regulations for the installation of systems of this kind. Never install and use the HomePilot® outside or in damp rooms. Doing so will cause damage to it.
USB port. DuoFern USB stick Then close the USB compartment again and place the HomePilot® on a firm surface. The rubber mat usually leaves no contact marks on the storage surface. However, this cannot be guaranteed for all surfaces and lacquers in view of the wide variety of lacquers and finishes used on furniture.
A specific IP address range is reserved for this on the DHCP server. If you want to assign a fixed address for the HomePilot®, you must change the configuration of the DHCP server on the router accordingly. Please read the information provided in the instruction manual for your router.

8.2 Connecting the router Plug the LAN cable provided into the LAN port of the HomePilot® and connect it to a free LAN port on your router. LAN1 LAN2 LAN3 LAN4 After connecting the plug-in power supply (see chap- ter. 8.3), the green LED on the LAN port will light up green if it is connected properly.
8.3 Connecting the power supply Connect the power supply provided to the power input [ DC 5 V/3 A ] of the HomePilot® and then plug the power supply into a free 230 V / 50 Hz mains socket. Once the mains power is switched on, the power LED starts flashing orange.

9. Accessing the user interface Your HomePilot® user interface then appears. The HomePilot® is now ready for use. The screen layout may take a few seconds to load when first accessing the system (after connecting to the mains power or after rebooting it).
The navigation and operation on the user interface is explained in the detailed instruction manual. You can find the current instruction manual in the downloads section of our website: www.homepilot.de/downloads Enter the URL into the address bar of your browser.
The IP address is automatically allocated by your router and can be found in the network settings of the router. There the IP address is specified in connection with the MAC address of the HomePilot® (see the underside of the device).
This process may take several minutes. The HomePilot® is not ready for use during this phase. A further reboot of the HomePilot® occurs in order to access the normal operating mode. LED flashes orange during this phase. The HomePilot® is ready for use again as soon as the LED lights up green again continuously.
