Once you have deleted your announcement,
the relevant pre-recorded announcement
will be used again.
Setting the answering
machine mode
You can choose between Answer & Record,
Announce. Only and Ans. Mode Time. By
using the Ans. Mode Time setting you can
activate the answer and record mode for a
set period, outside this period the caller will
hear the advisory message.

Select the answering machine mode and

Answer & Record
The caller hears the announcement and
can then leave a message.
Announce. Only
The caller hears the announcement but
cannot leave a message.
Ans. Mode Time
The caller can leave a message in the
defined time period.
If the Ans. Mode Time mode is selected:
From:
Enter hours/minutes for the start of the
period in 4-digit format.
(The time must be set on the phone
beforehand.)
Until:
Enter hours/minutes for the end of the
period in 4-digit format.
Example: If Ans. Mode Time is set from 8:00
until 18:00, the answering machine will
answer and record from 8:00 to 18:00, and
answer only but not record from 18:01 to
7:59 next morning.

Operating the answering machine
Activation

Use the control key to activate
(On) or deactivate (Off) the time
settings.
Setting the recording
parameters
The answering machine has already been
preset at the factory. Individual settings can
be adjusted using the handset.
Setting the message length
You can set the maximum length of the
recording time:

Use the control key to select the
maximum length and and press

. Possible values:
1 min, 2 min, 3 min or Maxi-
mum.
Setting the ring delay
You can set the number of rings the tele-
phone will wait before the answering
machine answers a call.

number of rings and press
Possible values:
1 ringer, 3 ringers, 6 ringers or
Auto.
