SAFE BOATING TIPS
COOKING STOVE
LPG is a popular choice in cooking fuel aboard sailboats.
LPG is an explosive gas however, and should be treated
with great care. Please refer to the stove manual for detailed
instructions.

. Open flame cooking appliances consume oxy'
gen. This can cause asphyxiation or death.
. Maintain open ventilation.
. Liquid fuel may ignite, causing severe burns.
. Use fuel appropriate for type of stove.
. turn off stove burner before filling.
. do not use stove for comfort heating.
FIRE/ASPHYXIATION
HAZARD
Use special care with flames or high tempera'
tures near urethane foam, if used in construc'
tion of your boat. Burning, welding, lights, ciga'
rettes, space heaters and the like can ignite ure-
thane foam. Once ignited, it burns rapidly, pro'
ducing e xtre me h e a t, re le asi ng h a zar do us
gases and consuming much oxygen.
TOILET
IMPORTANT: When not in use, lever must be left in the
"dry" positionto prevent flooding.
Before using, please the lever in the "wet" position and punp
slowly to partly fill and wet the inside ofthe bowl. Retum to
"dry"position.
After using, retum the lever to the "wet" position for flushing
and pump until the bowl is thoroughly cleaned. Continue
with several more frtll strokes to flush discharge lines. Re-
tum lever to the "dry" position and pump slowly until bowl is
enpty.
NOTICE:
. there is a possibility ofbeing fined for having an operable
direct overboard discharge ofwaste in some waters' Re-
moving seacock handle, in closed position, or other means
must beusedto avoid fine.
. It is illegal for any vessel to dump plastic trash anywhere in
the ocean or navigable waters ofthe United states.
