DANGER
Do not start the engine and engage the PTO
lever when the PTO shaft is not connected to
the gearbox on the attachment.
If the engine starts and the PTO shaft rotates,
serious injury could result.

Replacing the CV Shaft
Parts needed for this procedure:

Bolt (3/8–16 x 1–3/4 inches)
2
Locknut (3/8–16 inch)
1
CV drive shaft
1
Roll pin (3/16 x 2–1/4 inches)
Procedure
1.
Remove the existing drive shaft from the
machine.
2.
Place the new CV drive shaft in the location of
the old one and secure it with 2 bolts (3/8–16 x
1–3/4 inches), 2 locknuts (3/8–16 inch), and a
roll pin (3/16 x 2–1/4 inches).

Torque the bolts and locknuts to 51 to 65 N⋅m
(38 to 48 ft-lb).
4.
Grease the CV shaft at all recommended grease
points; refer to your attachment Operator's
Manual.
