If your computer does
not match the plug
Use a commercially
available cable having a
Mini DIN 8-pin plug to
connect the printer and a
matching plug to connect
the computer. (Standard
Macintosh serial cable)
Note
You cannot use the
printer and the printer
driver on a network.
Connect the printer
directly to the computer.

Use the supplied cable (Mini DIN 8-pin plug, male/
Mini DIN 8-pin plug, male) to connect the computer to
the serial port of the printer.

Connecting the AC power cord

After you make connections, connect the supplied AC
power cord to the AC power connector of the printer
and then to the AC outlet. Then turn on the power
