Operation

Operation solely requires the preparations specified under
"Commissioning" and "Assembly".
The monitoring station will then work automatically and with-
out requiring maintenance.
You can monitor the state of charge of the battery via the
"measuring stations" tab in the main menu or via the settings
of a field itself. When the state of charge decreases to red, you
will automatically receive a new battery from Deepfield Con-
nect. If you wish to replace the battery but are unable to locate
your spare battery, please get in touch with us.
Measurement and transmission intervals
The measurement and transmission intervals vary depending
on the temperature or humid temperature measured. The
standard interval is one measurement every 10 minutes and
one data transmission every 60 minutes.
You will receive measured values every 10 minutes if the hu-
mid temperature is below 5 °C or the temperature is above
25 °C.
Replacing the battery
Also see figure 8, page 5.
NOTE
 Risk of damage!
Penetrating water or chemicals may damage or
destroy the monitoring station. Only replace the bat-
tery in a dry environment. Clean the monitoring station
dry before replacing the battery. If dirty, clean the battery
compartment seal and check it for damage.
 Remove the cable tie and turn the transmitter on its side
by the top suspension.
 Open the battery compartment.
 Remove the battery and release the connector. To release
the connector, press down on the back of the hook.
 Insert the connector for the new battery into the socket.
 Place the battery and the cable in the transmitter. The
cable should be underneath the battery if possible (see
figure 8, page 5).
 Close the battery compartment cover and lock it carefully
with the two screws.
 Secure the transmitter to the transmitter bracket again.
 Hold the magnet against the recess on the transmitter
(see figure 4, page 3).

Disassembly

Disconnecting the sensors from the transmitter
 Undo the union nut from the transmitter socket by turning
it anti-clockwise and remove the plug connection.
 Screw the socket protection cap onto the socket to pro-
tect it against dirt.

Removing the sensors
 Release the sensors from their fixtures.
Retrieving the soil moisture sensor from the soil
 Remove as much soil as necessary to be able to grip the
sensor and pull it out of the soil.
NOTE
 Risk of damage!
Using tools or pulling on the cable can destroy the soil
moisture sensor. Do not use tools and do not pull on the
cable in order to retrieve the sensor from the soil.
Detaching the transmitter from the transmitter
bracket
 Take the safety cap off and open the cable tie.
 Pull the transmitter bracket out of the ground.

Maintenance and servicing

Maintenance and cleaning
The monitoring station does not require maintenance.
Remove any dirt from the monitoring station using a suitable
brush.
NOTE
 Risk of damage!
Penetrating water or chemicals may damage or de-
stroy the monitoring station. Do not use chemicals or
pressure washers. Clean the monitoring station using dry
means only.

Decommissioning and storage
For the purpose of decommissioning, disassemble the moni-
