About these instructions

Target group
These operating instructions are intended for the operator of
the monitoring station and agricultural workers with experi-
ence of growing crops. Prior knowledge of the use of mobile
devices is required.

Read all safety warnings and instructions.
Failure to observe the safety warnings and in-
structions can result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury.
Usage in compliance with the intended use
The monitoring station is used to measure the temperature
and moisture of a field for crop cultivation. The measurement
results are transferred to the Bosch Cloud via the cellular net-
work.
Misuse
Do not use the monitoring station to measure the temperature
or moisture of liquids, objects, people or other living crea-
tures.
Do not attempt to use the monitoring station to transfer any
data besides the measured values.

Operator requirements
Only operate the monitoring station if it is in a technically flaw-
less condition.
Only operate the monitoring station in accordance with the in-
tended use, conscious of safety and the dangers and observ-
ing these operating instructions.
You must meet the following requirements and ensure that
they are complied with:
- Generally applicable safety and accident prevention regu-
lations
- Internationally, nationally and locally applicable standards
and guidelines
- Additional device-specific rules and regulations
These operating instructions must be kept available.
Ensure that any personnel instructed to operate the device
have read and understood these instructions and all of the
other applicable documents before starting work.
User requirements
Read, observe and follow these operating instructions and
any work instructions created by the operator, especially the
safety information and warnings.
You must carry out all work on the basis of the complete oper-
ating instructions.
If you have questions relating to operation or maintenance
that you cannot find answers to in these instructions, please
contact Deepfield Connect customer services; see page 19.
Hazards
 Use only the batteries supplied or replacement batter-
ies provided by Deepfield Connect. These batteries
have been specially designed for this device. Other
batteries may damage the device, start to leak, explode,
catch fire and injure nearby persons.
 Do not attempt to recharge the batteries and do not
short circuit them. This may cause the batteries to leak,
explode, catch fire and injure nearby persons.
 Remove and dispose of used batteries correctly. Used
batteries may start to leak and consequently damage the
transmitter or injure nearby persons.
 Do not damage the batteries and do not attempt to
disassemble them. This may cause the batteries to leak,
explode, catch fire and injure nearby persons.
 Do not overheat the batteries and do not throw them
into a fire. This may cause the batteries to leak, explode,
catch fire and injure nearby persons.
 Transmitter with wireless transmission! The transmit-
ter may interfere with pacemakers and other sensitive
devices. Keep the transmitter away from pacemakers and
other medical implants. Do not bring the transmitter into
sensitive environments such as hospitals or planes while it
is switched on.
 Strong magnetic field! The magnet supplied may inter-
fere with pacemakers and other sensitive devices.

implants and other sensitive devices.
