Installing and removing an M.2 module
(dependent on configuration)
Your LIFEBOOK is equipped with a service compartment for an M.2 module. The LIFEBOOK E559
can be ordered either with an M.2 module or with a standard hard disk (HDD). For systems with
HDD, an M.2 adapter is available as an accessory, in order to retrofit an M.2 module instead of
the HDD, if necessary. For more information on how to install a hard disk, see
removing the hard disk (only for LIFEBOOK E559 with HDD configuration level)", Page
It is not possible to install a standard hard disk in systems that
were ordered with an M.2 module.
The LIFEBOOK E549 is illustrated below. The approach is the same for all
variants. Corresponding reference is made to any differences.
