5 SET UP

1
Remove the battery compartment cover of the transmitter and Insert two 1.5 V mignon batteries (type
AA) as indicated in the compartment. Replace the cover.
2
Screw the antenna into the corresponding jack.
3
Attach the transmitter to your clothes, e.g. your belt or waistband via the clip.
4
Connect a lavalier microphone or a headset microphone to the jack INPUT. With the input selector
switch MIC/LINE it is possible to switch the microphone input to line input for mono units with line level
output (e.g. for use as in-ear system or for instrument pickup).
5
Before switching on the transmitter, set the corresponding receiver to an interference-free transmission
channel. Then set the transmitter to the same channel with the dip switches (please refer to chapter 7.1
Channel configuration for a table listing which channel is assigned to which frequency):

Set the operating mode selector to position ON to turn on the transmitter. The red battery indicator
shortly lights up and indicates that there is sufficient power. If the indicator does not light up there are
either no batteries inserted or the poles are wrong.
7
With new batteries, the transmitter can be operated for approx. 12 hours. If the red battery indicator
lights up steadily the batteries are exhausted and must be replaced.
Only replace by the same type or similar types recommended by the manufacturer.
Remove empty battery in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer.
Batteries are hazardous waste and should not be disposed of with regular domestic waste!
Please take discharged batteries to a collection center near you.
8
Speak into the microphone. The sensitivity of the transmitter can be adjusted variably with the gain
control (by means of a small screw driver). Thus, the volume level of the transmitter can be readjusted.
Reduce the sensitivity if the volume of the transmitter signal is too high and thus distorted. Increase the
sensitivity if the volume is too low and a poor S/N ratio results.
9
To mute the transmitter during operation, set the operating mode selector to its center position. Then, no
sound will be transmitted.
10 After operation, set the operating mode selector to position OFF to switch off the transmitter. If the TM-
115 is not used for a longer period (approx. 1-2 weeks), please remove the batteries to prevent
damage in case of battery leakage.
