NOTE:
The dust bin can remain in the appliance
for emptying. You can dispose of the con-
tents of the dust bin with your regular
domestic waste as long as it does not con-
tain any substances not permitted in
domestic waste.

The compact dust bin can only store a limited
amount of dirt. Thus, it is better if you empty it
after each vacuuming session.
1. Switch off the appliance and pull the plug
from the socket.
2. Hold the appliance low over a waste bin
(fig. 12).
3. Now press the emptying button (fig. 12/ar-
row) to open the dust bin base.
4. Carefully tap out anything residue or re-
move it by hand.
5. Depending on how much time has passed
since the last time the filter components
were cleaned, decide whether you should
clean them immediately too:
- The dust bin and its filter components
should be cleaned with every 2nd emp-
tying process ( chapter 4.2, „Cleaning
the dust bin and its filter components").
- The exhaust filter should be cleaned
with every 4th to 6th cleaning procedure
( chapter 4.3, „Cleaning the exhaust
filter").
6. Shut the bottom plate of the dust bin
again, pressing it so you hear and feel it
click into place.
