Storage
D ry the wet PPE before putting it into storage
S tore in a dry, dark place.
D o not store the PPE close to radiators or heat
sources. Permanent temperatures of above
50°C have a negative effect on the strength of
the textile material and reduce its lifespan.
D o not allow the PPE to come into contact
with aggressive substances ( oils, greases, ac-
ids, chemicals, etc.)
S tore safely and transport in a device case or
bag

L eave the wet PPE out to dry. Do not dry on
heat sources. Rub metal components dry with
a cloth.
D ry soiled textile components (harness, ropes,
etc.) or, if necessary, brush when wet or clean
with lukewarm water and a little mild deter-
gent. Then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Other detergents are prohibited!

A fter contact with saltwater, keep the PPE wet
until it can be rinsed thoroughly with distilled
water.
I f required, apply small amounts of oil to the
joints to keep the moving parts on the snap
hooks and other devices operating smoothly.

D o not use grease. Bearings are permanently
lubricated ball bearings. If necessary slightly
oil the joints with (resin-free) sewing machine
oil.
P rotective equipment that is looked after will
retain its function for longer!
W ipe out soiled devices with a cloth and clean
them, or brush them or clean them using
lukewarm water and, if necessary, a mild de-
tergent. Rinse with clear water. Other deter-
gents are prohibited!

If Part 1 of the user manual does not mention
any other service life, the following values apply:
