There is a risk of fatal injuries if the safety pro-
visions are not observed.
T he rope protection is part of the personal
protection equipment to prevent falling and
should be allocated to a specific person.
P PE may no longer be used, even if the dam-
age is only slight.
D amaged PPE or safety equipment that have
been subjected to a fall or are of dubious con-
dition should be taken out of service immedi-
ately. The equipment should only be inspect-
ed by an expert or a workshop that has been
authorised in writing by BORNACK. This needs
to be documented in the inspection card.
A utonomous modifications or repairs are pro-
hibited.
T he PPE may only be used by trained persons
who are familiar with the material and know
how to use the equipment safely, and have
been trained in the risks associated with its use.
I n accordance with the accident prevention
regulations, a theoretical and practical train-
ing course is necessary for users of the PPE fall
protection equipment, category 3. Please

Safety ProviSionS

A ccessories from other manufactures may
only be used if approved by BORNACK; they
may not impair the function or safety of the
protective equipment.
C lothing and shoes should be suitable for the
respective weather conditions.
T he harness should be adjusted to the person-
al body size (including appropriate clothing).
O nly for use by completely healthy personnel.
H ealth-related restrictions may impair the
safety of the user when working at heights or
depths.
T he user should be healthy enough to ensure
that safety is not compromised during normal
usage or in emergency situations.
T he suspension point for the rope protection
needs to be adequately strong (EN 795), at
least 7.5 kN (for one person) in the rope pull
direction of the rop draw. Add an 1 kN per per-
son for each additional person.
