Problem
The bread is too small
or has not risen.
The bread collapses
during the baking pro-
cess.
The bread is too dense
The centre of the bread
is hollow.
The crust is too thick
and dark, when making
cakes or food with high
sugar content.
The power fails while a
program is running.
Possible Reason
No / not enough yeast.
Poor activity of the
yeast.
You have selected a pro-
gram intended for yeast
bread to bake a dough
made with baking pow-
der and/or soda.
The flour used cannot
support the dough rising.
The yeast activity is too
high or the rising tempe-
rature is too high.
Excessive water makes
the dough too wet.
Too much flour or not
enough water.
Too much fruit ingre-
dients or too much whole
wheat flour.
Excessive water or yeast,
or no salt.
Water temperature is
too high.
Different recipes and
ingredients have great
effect on making bread,
and the browning will
always be affected by
excessive sugar.
The Solution
Check the amount of yeast.
Do not use yeast, that has been stored for too long. The
water must be lukewarm but above 15 °C. Ensure that the
yeast will not come in contact with salt.
Select an appropriate program. See: "Programs of the Bread
Maker"
Use bread flour or a sufficient baking mixture.
The rising temperature of yeast should be approx. 20 °C.
Check your recipe and reduce the amount of water.
Reduce flour or increase water.
Reduce the amount of the corresponding ingredients and/or
increase the amount of yeast.
Reduce the amount of water or yeast. Probably add a little
salt.
The water should be lukewarm at the maximum.
If the crust is too dark for a recipe with high sugar content,
cancel the baking program (touch START/STOP button)
approx. 5 - 10 minutes ahead of the finishing time. Leave
the bread/cake for approx. 20 minutes in the heating com-
partment with the lid closed, before taking your bread/cake
out.
In case of power failure for up to 10 minutes, the bread
maker will run the last implemented program until completi-
on, as soon as being live again.
On power failure for more than 10 minutes, you must re-
start.
