s IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read through this user manual thoroughly before
using your Solis Deli Grill, so that you become familiar with
your appliance and can use it safely. We thoroughly recom-
mend that you keep these instructions and, if you pass the
appliance on, that you also hand these instructions to the
new owner.

For your own safety, please observe the following safety
measures when using elec trical appliances:
1. To prevent electric shock, neither the appliance nor the power
cord and the power plug must come into contact with water
or other liquids. Danger of electric shock! Should the appli-
ance while connected to the power resp. the power cord or
the power plug come into contact with liquid, use dry rubber
gloves to immediately pull the power plug out of the socket.
Do not use the appliance again until you have had it's ability
to function safely checked by Solis or a Solis approved service
centre.
2. Never operate the appliance resp. pull or connect the plug
with wet or moist hands or feet.
3. Before using the appliance, check if the voltage stated on the
type plate of your appliance matches your mains voltage.
4. Do not let the power cord hang over table edges to prevent
the appliance from being pulled down. Make sure that nei-
ther the power cord nor the plug come into contact with e.g.
a stove top or a heater resp. with the appliance itself.
5. Always wrap the power cord around the cord wrap in the
bottom of the cooled down appliance, never wrap it around
the appliance itself.
6. Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens and other
heat-emitting appliances or heat sources. Never use the appli-
ance on a hot or wet surface. Never place the appliance near

moisture, heat and naked flames. Keep the appliance away
from moving parts or appliances.
7. Never carry the appliance by the power cord and do not place
anything on the power cord. Never pull on the power cord to
disconnect the appliance from the power mains. Only pull on
the plug.
8. We recommend that you do not use an extension cable with
this appliance. Do not place the appliance directly underneath
a power socket.
9. During use, the appliance must be placed on a solid, dry, sta-
ble, heat and moisture resistant surface. Place the appliance
in the middle of the table, not near the corners of the table.
The base as well as the surrounding surfaces and items should
be impervious to splashes that might originate from the appli-
ance. The base should not be covered with textiles (such as
tablecloths).
10. The appliance is not designed for outdoor use. Do not use in
vehicles or on boats.
11. Keep a minimum distance of 50 cm between the appliance
and walls, curtains or other heat and steam sensitive materials
and objects. Please note that air must be allowed to circulate
freely around the appliance. Please note that enough free
space has to be kept above the appliance to prevent dam-
age to items (such as lamps) or the ceiling, caused by grease
splashes or smoke. Never use the appliance to flambé.
12. Never cover the appliance with cloths or the like while it is in
use or in a still warm state.
13. Always pull the power plug while the appliance is unsuper-
vised or out of use or if it needs to be disassembled, reassem-
bled or cleaned. We recommend the use of a residual current
device (RCD safety switch) to ensure additional protection
during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a
