5. SET UP

■

Use the USB cable to connect the interface to an available USB port on your computer. The signal LED

lights to indicate that the interface is receiving power from the USB bus.

The interface is compatible with both PC and Mac computers and requires no installation procedure or

drivers for the correct functioning. As soon as the interface is connected a computer, it will be recognized

as a generic USB audio device.

For PCs, we recommend the installation of the supplied USB audio driver. The ASIO driver handles

communication between the interface and your PC and ensures a low latency. There is no further

installation required for Mac computers.

For connection of a signal source with line level output (e.g. CD/MP3 player) use the stereo RCA

connectors INPUT 1 and 2 (white jack = LEFT; red jack = RIGHT).

For connection of a turntable with magnetic system use INPUT 2. If your turntable is equipped with a

separate ground lead, fix it to the ground terminal GND to reduce humming and pop noise. Push in the

line/phono selector.

For connection of a microphone use the input MIC (6.3 mm jack, bal.). The microphone volume can be

adjusted with the control MIC LEVEL.

To monitor the output signal connect stereo headphones to the headphones input (3.5 mm jack). The

headphone volume can be adjusted with the control MONITOR LEVEL.

For the amplification or recording of an audio signal coming from the computer connect the input of the

following units (e.g. mixer, recording device, amplifier or active speakers) to the jacks OUTPUT 1 and 2.

We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Please use a soft lint-free and moistened cloth. Never use

alcohol or solvents!

There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to be carried

out by authorized dealers.
