Fine Tuning Your Arm
Now that you have assembled your Data Entry Monitor Arm, you are
now ready to begin fine tuning the components. Follow these 3 simple
steps to get accurate resistance or change resistances.
Step 1 Setting the Counter-balance
Place your monitor on the platform before adjusting the counter-balance.
Use the 1/4" allen wrench (provided), insert into the hole on the top of
the end cap as shown in Illustration 4.
IMPORTANT:
With one hand, hold the arm in a horizontal position, while turning the
allen wrench with the other hand to make the weight adjustment.
Center Post
To increase the weight for heavier monitors, turn the wrench left
(counter clockwise). To decrease the resistance for lighter monitors,
turn the wrench to the right (clockwise).

Tip:
The counter-balance weight adjustment can be
adjusted to favor a slight lifting or lowering of the
monitor's weight. Most users prefer operating their
computer in a sitting position and find it easier to
pull the monitor down toward them. Assistance
may be required when lifting the monitor up and
out of the way.
