IMPORTANT: Always allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning!
1. When finished cooking, unplug the unit from the outlet and remove both the Grill Probe and
Griddle Control before cleaning.
2. Slide out the removable Grease Tray and pour off grease into a disposable cup or can. The
Grease Tray is dishwasher-safe or it may be washed by hand in soapy water.
3. You may clean the cooking surfaces by wiping them with a wet sponge or cloth and dish
detergent. Or, separate the 2 sides — open the unit into the vertical position, tilt the Griddle
forward (toward you), slide it as far to the left as possible and lift out the right side to free
the pin from the hinge. Once separated, you can submerge and wash each part in a sink of
soapy water. The Grill and Griddle are not dishwasher-safe.
4. To remove cooked-on food, use a plastic bristle brush or polyester or nylon mesh pad. Do not
use steel wool pads or other harsh, abrasive cleaners on the cooking surfaces as they may
damage the non-stick coating. Never spray or apply cleaners directly onto the Grill.
5. Be sure to clean the handles after each use. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

1. Preheat the unit in closed position at High for about 5 to 7 minutes.
2. Salt and pepper both sides of steaks and add to Grill. Grill 8 to 10 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.
3. As steaks are cooking, combine mushroom slices, cooking or steak sauce, olive oil, and savory. Blend to
mix. Add to the Griddle section and cook turning often until mushrooms are soft (about 7-10 minutes).
4. To serve, place steaks on individual plates and cover each steak with a quarter of the mushrooms. Serve
immediately.

FOR GRIDDLE OR OPEN GRILLING
Use Griddle at highest setting. Melt 1 teaspoon fat per egg on
Griddle. Add eggs and turn as desired. Cook about 30-60 seconds
per side, or to desired doneness.
Prepare favorite recipe. Add bread slices to Griddle using highest
setting. Cook about 1-1

Fill bread with cheese slices and lightly spread outer bread
surfaces with softened butter or margarine. Position on Griddle.
Cook about 2-3 minutes per side.
Drop batter on Griddle. Cook about 30-60 seconds per side.
Follow directions for closed grilling. Turn to cook other side.
Cooking times will be longer, at least doubled Fatty meats will.

Many foods, like burgers or hot dogs, can be cooked on the Grill
or the Griddle. If cooking for a crowd, use both sides when
possible.
Cook 1 food on the Griddle and another on the Grill. For example,
cook a ham steak on the Grill and pineapple slices on the Griddle.
Or, bacon on the Grill and pancakes on the Griddle.
