"BS-10AN" Anemometer
Item no. 1499801
Intended Use
With this product, the air current velocity and the temperature of that air current can be meas-
ured. The maximum, average, and current air current velocity can be measured. The air cur-
rent velocity can be shown in five different measurement units on the display. Additionally, you
can switch between the temperature display in °C or in °F.
For safety and licensing reasons (CE), unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the
product is not permitted. Any other use that described above is not permitted. It may lead to
damage to the product. Moreover, this involves dangers, e.g., short-circuit, fire, electric shock
etc.. Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.

Explanation of symbols

The lightning symbol inside of a triangle is used when there is a potential risk of
personal injury, such as electric shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, operation or use.
The arrow symbol indicates special tips and operating information.

Safety Instructions

Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to
the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for injuries/material damag-
es resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the information

condensation water may form. Wait until the product has reached room tempera-
ture first, before use.
• Only operate the product using the supplied battery or another, similar model.
Please replace empty batteries with new ones to avoid damages due to wrong
measurement values.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. It may become a dangerous plaything
for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
high humidity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swal-
lowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately. Danger
to life!
• Acid contact due to leaking or damaged single/rechargeable batteries can burn
your skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries (non-storage) must not be recharged. There is risk of explosion when the
battery is used or inserted into the Anemometer improperly. The supplied battery
should only be replaced with a battery of the same type or a similar product. Never
expose the battery to strong heat.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the
industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around, since it could be-
come a dangerous plaything for children.

drops, even from a low height.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries/rechargeable batteries,
please observe the chapter "Disposal".
• The device must only be repaired by a specialist or in a specialist workshop.
Functions
The anemometer has the following functions:
• Measurement of air current velocity and of temperature
• Measurement of the maximum/average/current (max, avg, cu) air current velocity
• Choice of the temperature unit °C/°F
• Choice of units of air current velocity
m/s, km/h, feet per minute (ft/min), knots, miles per hour (mph)
• Beaufort scale (classification of wind force from 1 to 12)
• Background lighting of the display
• Automatic and manual switch-off of the device
• Display of wind chill (from the difference between the measured air temperature and the felt
temperature due to the wind velocity).
• Battery indicator
