Place your motorcycle on a firm, level

surface.
Support your motorcycle securely and

raise the rear wheel off the ground using
the centre stand or a hoist.
Loosen the rear axle nut and turn adjusting

bolts so the rear wheel can be moved all
the way forward for maximum drive chain
slack.
Remove the rear axle nut.
