For programmed recording, programme the material in

Press the REC PAUSE switch of the deck. (Deck 2

Press the PLAY/PAUSE switch of the CD player. CD
recording stafts.
When the CD player is set to the stop or pause mode
during recording, deck 2 also pauses. When CD play is
resumed, deck 2 recording also resumes.
This method produces a gap in recording when the
tape reverses.
If the FADE EDIT switch is pressed during recording,
the sound begins to fadeout from that point (about 10
seconds). The CD player pauses and deck 2 is placed
in the record pause mode.
TAPE DUBBING
(DECK 1 to DECK2)
'Iigh-speed dubbing:
– For simple, automatic dubbing in one-hatf the time,
compared to normal speed dubbing.
Normal-speed dubbing:
Fordubbing while Iisteningtothe playbackfrom deck 1.
- Load the playback tape into deck 1 and a blank tape
into deck 2.
- Select "TAPE".
- You may listen to any other source (CD, radio, etc.)
while using high-speed or normal-speed dubbing.
High-speed or Normal-speed dubbing
Pressthe HIGH or NORMAL DUBBING switch.
The system performs the steps below and automatically
startsdeck 1 playback and deck 2 recording.
- Deck 1: Tape rewinds.
- Deck 2: Tape rewinds.
- Deck2: Automaticallyadvancesthetape pastthe leader
(8 seconds).
The
indicator on deck 1 and REC PAUSE indicator on
deck 2 light as dubbing begins.
- During dubbing operation, the DOLBY NR switch has
no effect to the copied tape.
To stop dubbing, pressthe
switchon deck 1 or2. The
tape will not stop during dubbing if the REC PAUSE
switch is pressed.
If either deck 1 or 2 stops automatically,the other deck
will also stop.
It is not possible to listen to the normal monitoring
sound during high-speed dubbing.
To switch from normal-speed to high-speed dubbing,
press the
switch to stop dubbing, then press the
HIGH DUBBING switch.
A high-pitched sound may be recorded if high-speed
dubbing isused near aTV which has been switchedon.
Ifthis happens, switch offtheTV or place the system at
a distance from the TV.
Dubbing only desired tape selections
1. Stop deck 2, then locate the start of the desired tape
selection on deck 1.
2. Press the REC PAUSE switch.
3. Press the } or 4 switch on deck 1.
4. After the desired tape programme has been dubbed,
press the
switch on deck 1 or 2.
5. Repeat steps 1-4 to dub additional selections,
