In particulat case the last known position may be not defined, e.g. first start of
DS511 after installation in vehicle or GPS module was not activated after the
installation. In this case DS511 sends a return SMS:
Unable to fix vehicle position.
No last known position.
Due to the possibility to operate the DS511 with dedicated Android and iOS

Tytan GPS mobile application the SMS with alarm status and vehicle position may
contain ceded information starting with ## marks. This information shall be ignored.
CHAPTER 3
GENERAL SMS COMMANDS OPERATION PRINCIPLE
®
Tytan GPS Pager DS511 allows to execute number of commands remotely by
simple SMS commands sent from any mobile phone. A return SMS is sent by
DS511 to confirm receiving of the command. Each SMS command needs to
contain a PIN-code called DSPIN in order to prevent unauthorised use (not to be
confused with SIM-card PIN code). Default DSPIN is 12345. SMS commands can
be typed with capital or small letters (e.g. status or STATUS), however they
capital and small letters should not be mixed (e.g. sTaTUS). Typing commands
with capital letter is allowed (e.g. Status). DS511 does not respond with a return
SMS if an incorrect DSPIN is sent with command. If incorrect command is sent to
DS511 it will respond:
Command not recognised DS511 FW:xxxx yyyy
The return SMS on command contains device and firmware version
(xxxx yyyy, e.g. 0012 0106) in order to facilitate technical support.
Described below are the SMS commands executed by Tytan GPS Pager DS511.
ENABLING SERVICE / VALET MODE
DS511 can be set to service mode, in which the device does not give any
notifications about alarming.
Enabling and disabling service / valet mode can be done by SMS commands.
The service /valet mode of DS511 can be enabled at any moment: when system
is armed, when system is currently alarming or system is disarmed. Enabling this
mode can be used as emergency disarming of system (e.g. if OEM key is
broken). When this mode is enabled the LED gives fast 2 blinks every
1,5 seconds.
Disabling the service / valet mode is signalised by 5 siren chirps.
